MEETING SUMMARY

Ike Harris - from Concordia Neighborhood Association - came to share the need for a community center there will be a meeting on April 10th at 5:30pm at St Michael Lutheran. As a board - we all decided we would support the effort. Nikki was designated the “ambassador” and plans to attend the next meeting.

Allan emailed the Concordia chair but they haven’t connected yet. Allan in touch with the city clean up to do an annual clean up in the neighborhood fundraiser. Already planning something but an opportunity to do our own. Need to find out more information. Sounds like we would need to apply for grant. Allan will be doing that

Brooks is wrapping up FSP. Brooks asked about grants and will compile a list into a spreadsheet

Nikki reached out to Right To Be to do a training and it was out of our budget, starting at $2k for 1.5 hour workshop. Nikki also reached out to Critical Resistance to speak on prison abolition but no one responded. Nikki decided to use the time to compile a survey for the community. We spent the rest of the meeting discussing survey questions and we decided we would aim to get 50 responses. We also thought we could potentially put up flyers too to help with engagement.
