Engage with Your Community: Your Voice Matters!

At VNA, we believe that a vibrant community is built on open dialogue, shared ideas, and active participation. We invite you to be a part of this enriching experience in a sincere and meaningful way.

VNA Community Meetings are a platform for all residents to come together, connect, and shape the future of our neighborhood. These meetings are typically held quarterly on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 6 pm, and they are open to everyone. Whether you're a long-time resident or new to the neighborhood, your presence and input are highly valued.

If the meeting is online, links can be found in the meeting information, making it accessible for all to join from the comfort of their homes.

We also host Board Work Sessions where our dedicated board members collaborate on essential administrative tasks, such as planning future events and fundraising initiatives. While these sessions are primarily for board members, we believe that community involvement knows no bounds. If you're unable to attend a community meeting but wish to discuss a specific topic or are considering joining the board, please reach out to us at vnaboard@gmail.com. Your interest and insights are always welcome, and we'll gladly share the meeting information to ensure your voice is heard.

Your active engagement strengthens the bonds that make our neighborhood a wonderful place to live. Together, we can create a brighter future for our community. Join us in shaping it! 🏡🤝🗣️

September Vernon Community Meeting!

Join Us for Our Next VNA Community Meeting

📅 Date: Wednesday, September 20th
🕔 Time: 6:00 PM
📍Location: Bob and Joyce's House
Address: 5204 NE 17th Ave

Dear Neighbors!

🎉 We're excited to invite you to our upcoming VNA Community Meeting, hosted by our wonderful neighbors, Bob and Joyce! Their warm hospitality will make this evening truly special! What a special treat for our community!

🏡 Bob and Joyce have been integral members of our community for years. They've contributed in various ways, including community organizing to addressing safety concerns. Above, Bob is sharing a picture he took of his daughter on the very same corner years ago. This is one of many photos Bob has taken, archiving the neighborhood.

🗣️ We'll delve into essential community matters during the meeting, including discussing the results of our recent survey. Together, we'll explore how we can take meaningful actions, whether through individuals taking on specific roles or by forming committees.

🌱 As an added bonus, we'd like to make this gathering even more delightful by sharing some of the harvest from our gardens. We encourage you to bring your garden's produce to share with fellow neighbors. I'm planning to bring some figs!

🏡 I can attest that Bob and Joyce's home is a hub of warmth and camaraderie, and we hope to see you there to strengthen our community bonds further.

🗓️ Mark your calendars for September 20th at 6:00 PM, and let's make this VNA Community Meeting a memorable one!

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

If you're interested and use Facebook, we'd greatly appreciate it if you could indicate your attendance by RSVPing on the event page. Otherwise just show up! 😊 Your presence would mean a lot to us!
